Love in progress.
Journey before destination.
I didn’t plan on juggling concurrent projects, but it took me seven first drafts to learn how to finish one. Luckily, each book taught me something different about writing. For example:
FIRE on Fire was my first romance, and I learned how to deliver a Happily Ever After.
The Inner Circle is way steamier, and I learned how to write a good sex scene.
Life After FIRE is a sequel, and I learned how to continue a story.
The silver lining was that I could integrate these lessons before publishing. First drafts are my favorite part, but, y’all, editing is where it’s at (which can feel never-ending)! I still have a lot to learn, but I hope you’ll enjoy all these different loves stories with the same promise:
Always queer. Always spicy. Always happily ever after.
